My friend and I were really looking forward to this trip, having seen whales off Alaska, but only at a distance from the cruise ship. In actual fact we saw absolutely nothing, and I guess the crew actually suspected this before we set out - nothing had been sighted on the earlier outing that day, and when asked what the likelihood was of seeing either whales dolphins or porpoises, we were told that since the Company had been doing the trips the success rate was c90% - on reflection we read into that that the more recent outings are in fact less successful than historic ones - I appreciate of course that all wildlife sightings are never 100% guaranteed by virtue of the fact that we are dealing with nature. The pick-up, drop-off, boat, equipment and whale exhibition centre were all excellent, and whilst we were offered vouchers for a free trip any time in the next two years, these are virtually worthless unless you are staying in Reykjavik for the next few days following your outing as I guess very few people will be making a return trip to Iceland within the next two years! The sea was very rough throughout our trip with many passengers being sea-sick. Fortunately my friend and I have good sea legs and stomachs, and the one redeeming thing that can be said about the actual trip itself is that we actually enjoyed our trip on Iceland's one and only "big dipper"! I would suggest that anyone contemplating joining this tour should make detailed enquiries about RECENT success rates before booking. I hope this review will be helpful for anyone who might be intending joining this trip. C Jones, Chester, England.

We did the Golden Circle tour in glorious sunshine (1st May) which was of great benefit for both views and photography. Scenery was stunning, and the Rift Valley, Geysir and the Gulfoss Falls all lived up to expectations. Our coach was very modern and extremely comfortable, and hotel pick-ups and drop-offs worked exactly as indicated in the pre tour literature. We also saw the Law Rock, visited Skalholt church (not a lot to see here) and the Kerid volcanic crater. Before booking we were told we might visit the Faxi Falls, but this did not happen, and whilst the Power Station visit was very interesting we were asked to pay 500 ISK each to visit their exhibition - the website had clearly stated "No hidden extras". Having said that, I highly recommend this particular tour and put it in one of those "never to be forgotten" filing places. C Jones, Chester, England.

Thank you for your very nice comments and review. The last stop at the power plant at Hellisheidi is only to give passengers a chance to view the facilities and use bathrooms and coffee shop on the premises. The paid entry to the exhibition is optional and passengers are not obliged to take the tour.

First time ti Iceland and this was a great tour. It was a good way to get an overall introduction to Iceland. The guide was very knowledgable. We stopped at several other smaller sites that where not on the itinerary as we where making good time...so we appreciated the "extra' things we saw.

Highly recommended tour that gives you just the right amount of time in the Blue Lagoon and then an excellent tour on the afternoon. The guide worked non stop to keep everyone organised at the various stops and was full of informarion for the entire tour. Unfortunately the coach had a breakdown towards the end of the trip but that was totally out of anybodies hands. A replacement coach came to collect us and this did not deter the guide from fitting in one last memorable stop and even more information!! Fantastic, many thanks for an unforgetable day.

I am very satisfied The Coach driver was very helpful and friendly. I appreciated that it was possible to store the luggage in the Coach while we spent a few hours in The Blue Lagoon.

It was a fantastic tour. The guide told us many interesting things about Iceland and the places we visited. And it was delightful for me as a tourist to visit all the places you had picked out for us. A wonderful experience!

Great tour...it is long but well worth the experience.. you are not trapped on a bus all day.Our guide was excellent too. The sights are unbelievable and you have time to yourself to experience the stops without someone right next to you.
