We had just landed the morning of this tour and were very tired but wanted to hit the ground running so we took this tour that evening. It was a fantastic start to our trip! The brewery is a very modern building and really pretty inside. What really made the tour was the tour leader Sylvia (her Icelandic name was very hard to pronounce so we called her that). She was incurably funny and very informative about Iceland's interesting alcohol history. She and the bartender made sure everyone always had a drink and we all got quite jolly! I'm not even a big beer drinker but the beer she served us was delicious and don't miss the Brennvin shot! All in all one of my favorite memories of our trip to Iceland. Susie+Axel, Boston USA

Really fun tour. Fascinating story of the history of prohibition in Iceland, accompanied by as much beer as you can drink, one of the tastings even involved vodka! And nachos were also provided to soak it all up! The trip was very well organised with a bus picking us up from our hotel and taking us to the Iceland Excursions office in the town centre where we met with the others taking the trip. A coach then took us to the brewery with the option afterwards of a hotel drop off or in Rekyjavik Centre.

Had a great time at the brewery! The guide was super fun/friendly and gave us all plenty of history and drinks. They were out of Brennivín, but there were lots of other tasty beers to try.
