We take care of all the planning for you, provide you with a car of your choice, a detailed travel plan and a good road map. We also book your accomodation for you during your tour. The only thing you have to book yourself is your accomodation in Reykjavík before and after your round trip and your flight to and from Iceland. Please note that the transfer to and from Keflavik airport is not included in the price of the tour. We recommend our Airport Express transfer service which can be added to the package.

Places of interest: Borgarfjörður district - Húsafell in Borgarfjörður. Hraunfossar waterfalls – streaming from the edges of the lava fields. Reykholt for historic value and Kleppjárnsreykir for geothermal interest. Borgarnes village – the site of one of the most popular Icelandic sagas, Egla. Guided saga tours on offer.

The Snæfellsnes peninsula. Ca. 95 km travelled.
 
Places of interest: Snæfellsjökull glacier – famous for beauty and occult powers. Various glacier tours on offer. Arnarstapi – a fishing village in extraordinary surroundings. Colourful bird life. The crater Eldborg makes an interesting hike.

Dimmuborgir with its spectacular lava formations. The geothermal area at Námafjall Pass with extraordinary colours produced by the sulphur in the ground.

Places of interest: Whale watching from Húsavík town, a busy and lively town which boasts one of Iceland’s prettiest churches. The fossil collection at Tjörnes. The Öxarfjörður area.

Places of interest: The Jökulsárgljúfur National Park. Ásbyrgi, allegedly the hoof mark of Odin’s horse, Sleipnir. Hljóðaklettar (Echo rocks) with their strange echoes and rock formations. The magnificent Dettifoss waterfall, the most powerful waterfall in Iceland. On the way to the East stop by the renovated farm Sænautasel and have a cup of coffee or tea with the very Icelandic baking, lummur.

Places of interest: Hallormsstaðar Woods – Iceland’s biggest forest and great outdoor area. The Lagarfljót River where the sea serpent “Lagarfljótsormur” allegedly lives. The East fjords with their dramatic mountains and quaint fishing villages like Borgarfjörður eystri and Seyðisfjörður village.

Places of interest: Kirkjubæjarklaustur – a small but important community centre. Vík in Mýrdalur – boat excursions to Dyrhólaey – a 120 m high cape with perpendicular cliffs teeming with birds - a nature sanctuary. Skógar with its magnificent waterfall and interesting folk museum. The swimming pool at Seljavellir – an outdoor pool in lovely natural surroundings. Seljalandsfoss waterfall – where it is possible to walk behind the waterfall.

Places of interest: The historical Skálholt cathedral. Kerið, a 3000 year explosion crater. The beautiful Gullfoss waterfall. Geysir hot spring area with the energetic Strokkur spouting every 10-15 minutes. Þingvellir National Park – the site of the ancient parliament – a beautiful area with lovely walkways.
